Romantic Valentine’s Day Experiences at The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel

Treat your someone special to a gardenside spread or a three-course dinner

Deep in the heart of Constantia, overlooking award-winning gardens, and with Table Mountain in the background, The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel is steeped in historic charm and five-star elegance.

This veritable oasis, surrounded by ancient camphor trees, rows of vineyards and secluded nooks of soft lawn, makes the noise of the city seem far removed – and provides the perfect setting for a romantic picnic, or a heavenly three-course dinner.

Valentine’s Day Picnic

Love birds are invited to enjoy a love-themed gourmet picnic from 12 to 14 February 2022. Everything in your basket is freshly prepared – expect a chicken Caesar wrap, baked vegetable quiche, basil pesto, bocconcini and slow-roasted tomato pasta salad, olive and sundried focaccia bread, mini scones and waffles with strawberry jam, cream and butter, and red Grapetizer – with a welcome glass of bubbly to toast the occasion.

All that’s left for you to do is find a secluded spot on the spacious Hohenort lawn, throw down a blanket, and enjoy the spectacular backdrop and selection of delicious treats menu created by the expert culinary team.

Valentine’s Day Dinner

Should you prefer a more luxurious, yet equally romantic, experience, opt for a three-course candlelit meal at the acclaimed Conservatory restaurant on Valentine’s evening. Dinner begins with an amuse-bouche, followed by a choice of poached prawn or Mediterranean vegetable terrine for starters; with mains of pan-seared linefish or orange-glazed duck breast; and sweet endings of strawberries and cream, or salted caramel and dark chocolate tart.
